Hangover’s Blues

You can’t help; the drink’s now warm
Half C2H6O, half H2O from iced form
The smokeless, choked ‘the singsong’
Memory loss to story of revoked sum

To faded lovers who laughs as: the ex
To dated covers, to gaffs too complex
To forget the left, poured on the floor
Between an illusion & another: A War

The ignored is a stored ‘sun of doom’
Woken mourning, a morning at noon
Hangover is a mouth that can’t taste
…it drinks its puke and eats its waste
